COACH'S COMMENTS
NCAA rules prohibit the use of college endorsements as per Bylaw 11.3.2.10. Therefore, the names of the coaches and the colleges have been left off their respective quotes where applicable (current coach @ current university).
"Ron has a down-to-earth style of teaching pitchers how to pitch. In his mild-manner, he works to develop pitchers technically but also "in between the ears" where most of pitching takes place."

"I have had the privilege to work with Ron on several occasions and he is a true professional. He has a proven system in place to develop young pitchers and places a priority on the discipline and work ethic they must posses to become the best. He has very good eye to pick out the slightest mechanical component which can make all the difference in the world."

"Ron's pitching fundamentals are sound, and his ability to explain, describe and show the mechanics sets him apart from other instructors I've been around. His approach is comfortable and creates a learning environment where the pitchers are allowed to have some fun while they develop".

"The best endorsement I can give for Ron Holt's pitching instruction is that of my daughter, who's taken lessons from him since age 9 (she is now 12). She loves Ron's coaching & is always disappointed if she has to miss a lesson due to rainout or other reason. After 3 years, she's still having fun with it. Most importantly, Ron's focus on the mental aspects of pitching has given her the knowledge and self-confidence to handle difficult situations and keep cool under pressure. That carries over into non-sports situations, such as school, and is something that will benefit her long after she's done playing softball."

"Ron Holt is more that a pitching coach to us. He has taken a softball player that wanted to pitch and helped her become a pitcher. Ron has a truly unique approach...he starts with a sincere love of the sport, he moves to an understandable explanation of the dynamics and then to a continual bombardment of praise and self-esteem building. Who wouldn't improve under those circumstances? Beyond the pitching instruction, Ron manages to throw in a life lesson here and there. Since not all the pitchers Ron works with will go beyond the high school level, the life lessons he shares are as important as the pitching ones. He has helped transform our daughter from a shy softball player into a confident young lady that pitches - well. Thanks Ron."

I have two daughters who have gone to Ron. My 10 year old has only been taught at Wind-Pitch, she has pitched on both league and ASA teams. She has pitched - and won - at the "League All Star" level and she traveled to Missouri for the 10U Nationals. My 17 year old has been a pitcher on her 5A high school team since she was a freshman. That team won District the first two years she was there. She has had 4 separate pitching coaches over her nine years of pitching. Some were good, some were bad. But she has worked the longest, learned the most, done the best and had the most fun working with Ron at Wind-Pitch. The success that my kids have had with their pitching - while playing on successful teams - was in large part due to the instruction they received from Coach Ron. Ron, you make the time in the "cage" fun and keep the lessons interesting. Thanks for all your hard work and for not only teaching my kids the mechanics of pitching, but for also teaching them about the game of softball, how to be part of a team, and how to measure individual achievement.

My daughter, Kelly, decided to become a pitcher while watching Christa Williams pitch a doubleheader shutout when Kelly was 10 years old. I immediately searched every available resource to determine the best pitching coach for a beginning 10 year old pitcher wannabe. That coach was and is Ron Holt. He has taught fundamentals to many beginning pitchers but has also taught advanced pitching techniques and pitches to pitchers of all levels from all over the United States. My daughter is slowly developing speed and dominance, but is also learning skill and finesse. I believe this complete pitcher training has secured Kelly's future as a high school fastpitch softball pitcher.
Thanks Ron.

I want to thank you again for working my daughter in on Saturday. You gave her tools to work with, which she had few. Last night Bowie played Austin High. She pitched and did a great job of it. She stood on the rubber with a whole different style. She was smiling and had several strike outs and a few hits but not any hard hits.

Thank you for such a wonderful lesson last Sunday. Kasey learned more in 2 hours with you than she's learned in 9 months from her other coach, and she had FUN learning it! She is all excited now and can't wait to practice (It's been raining here since we got back) Her dad and I learned alot too and we think this is going to make all the difference she was already pitching better when we left. Pencil us in whenever you can. Let me know, she can't wait to come back, (My husband wants to move there).
Thanks again,

Just thought I would let you know that Cassie and Misty had there first game and together they only allowed two hits for the whole game. Both pitched great.
Thanks again for all your help.

I would like to say thank you. The short amount of time you spent with us was extremely valuable. Kelsey, my daughter, is advancing just like you said she would. We are now at stage four and I'm totally amazed. She is throwing the ball with control and above average speed.
The main reason I'm writing is to point out the improvements in the rest of her game. Kelsey is like a different kid. She wants to practice and be the best at batting and fielding now, what a change. I believe your efforts should be commended. Thanks for all your help.

Coach Ron, I’m very interested in learning your teaching style. I have read "IT'S NOT BASEBALL!" 'In The Beginning' and 'In The Box'. Both of the books have opened my eyes to the differences between softball and baseball. I looked upon myself as a very astute student of the game. Only to find out that I have much to learn about the game of softball. I currently have a daughter that is playing 14U travel ball and she has set a goal of playing in college. My goal is to teach her as much as I possibly can in the short amount of time that I do have left with her before she move on to college. I have many years of coaching boy’s baseball and thought all along that I was giving good advise to her only to find out the game is so much different. After reading your books I have made many changes to my approach and found that I enjoy the game so much better, and we get along on and off the field much better. I just wish I had found your books sooner.
Your book taught me to implement the coach/player agreement with my daughter on the field. Now my daughter and I are laughing, joking and having fun on the field. Our relationship has become so much fun both on and off the field. Thank you for that!!

Coach Ron,
Thanks for all that you did for my pitchers this year. With them, we won the New Mexico ASA State Championship last night. We are headed for Springfield, Mo. Misti Rodriguez was our winning pitcher in the semi-finals and Cassie Groves was our winning pitcher in the finals. And they both pitched awesome.
